Location:
  • In the graveyard of St. Stephen's Anglican Church, 7921 St. Stephens Road, Saanichton. Go past the Church Hall and the large lawn to the left. The church is at the end of the gravel driveway, hidden by trees.
 
Description:
  • A simple horizontal bronze sundial about 9 inches in diameter. A sun occupies the interior of the dial with hour lines extending to a chapter ring with Roman numerals marking the hours. Each hour is divided into eight parts along the outer edge of the dial. The dial sits on a square plinth with corresponding square stepped base.

    On the surround: "AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN" and "IN THE MORNING WE WILL REMEMBER THEM".
    On the pedestal base: "CAPTAIN (S)G.A.F. WYLLYS ROYAL NAVY" and "BORN NOV. 27 1873 IN YARMOUTH NORFOLK ENGLAND DIED MAY 15, 1950"
