| Description: |
- This alignment sculpture, "Wavehenge", was conceived as a site specific piece for people to sit by the water and enjoy the view. It also functions as a daily sundial and solar calendar — the shadow lands exactly on the curved outline of one ‘raft’ bench when the hour and minute of the day matches the month and day of the year. Specifically, it tells the time at the equinoxes and solstices: on 3/20 at 3:20pm, 6/21 at 6:21pm, 9/22 at 9:22am, and 12/21 at 12:21pm
The "Wavehenge" is constructed of steel alloy.
