Universal Bifilar Sundial

The bifilar sundial was invented by Hugo Michnik in 1922 using two orthogonal wires suspended at appropriate heights above the dial surface.  Where the shadow of the wires cross, you tell the time.  The North American Sundial Society version of this dial adds features to make this a universal sundial that tells civil time.  The height of the horizonal wire can be adjusted for the user's latitude and unlike other sundials, the hour lines are uniformly separated by exactly 15°, alowing the dial to be rotated for both longitude and Equation of Time corrections.  This dial tells accurate civil time.  The dial is 3D printed of PLA filament and is shipped in a USPS Flat Rate Priority Box.
